Bok Choy

I love watching cooking shows to help me learn different cooking techniques but also to learn about new foods that I have never cooked with! In several shows I kept seeing them cook with Bok Choy. It looked good and is super healthy so I decided to give it a go! I made a simple stir fry with it and I was in love! My husband wasn't a huge fan but I went back for seconds. Unfortunately I couldn't finish my seconds thanks to one of the dogs who cleared my plate of every last piece....


So now I love to cook Bok Choy as a simple and quick lunch!

Ingredients:
2 bunches of Baby Bok Choy
1/2 tsp Sesame Seed Oil
1 tsp Soy Sauce
1 or 2 cloves of Garlic minced (or just season with a little garlic powder if you're in a rush)
Crushed Red Pepper (Optional)
Toasted Sesame Seeds (Optional)
Salt

First chop the about 1/2 inch off the bottom of the Bok Choy so the leave just fall apart and give them a good rinse to get any dirt off. Next heat the Sesame Seed Oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Once hot take the pan off the heat and add in the garlic, soy sauce and crushed red pepper (if you're using it, I don't really like mine spicy so I don't). Stir that around for about 30 seconds and place pan back on the heat then throw on the bok choy! Keep the pan move and stir the bok choy so that it doesn't burn. While stirring add in a little salt, not too much since the soy sauce has plenty of saltiness to it. Once the leafy part is completely wilted you are ready to serve and eat! If you have them, you can top it off with some Toasted Sesame Seeds!

This is a super great side dish, or yummy just to eat for lunch! Usually this is made in a wok, but that's still on my list of "appliances I would love to have at some point in my life" so I don't have one yet. Hope you all enjoy!
